This was the 34th year the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) has recognized the hard work and dedication of several contractors in the Metro Washington and Virginia areas. The competition serves as a motivator to raise construction standards in the industry and as a show of appreciation for the dedication and excellent workmanship of those involved with construction projects.
This year, over 130 projects were entered in 24 categories, with one or two winners in each category, as well as 16 winners of the Subcontractor of the Year Award. The competition is judged by a panel of over 100 industry experts who judge entries based on attractiveness, complexity, unique challenges overcome, completion time, workmanship, innovation, cost, and safety. “These winning projects highlight and honor the extraordinary teamwork between general contractor, architects and engineers, specialty contractors, and material suppliers,” said Patrick J.
